San Remo has launched a range of premium, portion controlled pasta products designed to take the guess work out of entertaining and make balancing nutritional needs easier.
 
The new San Remo Traditional Egg Pasta nests contain 12% egg and come in handy packets of 12 individual portions, each with more protein than regular San Remo pasta.
 
Head of Sales and Marketing at San Remo, Mr Michael Neale, said Traditional Egg Pasta nests were the nutrition-conscious entertainer’s dream.
 
“Traditional Egg Pasta nests are a simple and elegant meal option and make serving nutritious food easy,” he said.
 
“In addition, they are an easy way to ensure people get enough grain based foods.”
 
Mr Neale said The National Health and Medical Research Council recommended that people eat four to five serves of grain based foods every day.
 
“Each Traditional Egg Pasta nest represents approximately one serve of grain based food,” he said.
 
“This means if you’re not getting enough grain based foods in your diet, you can add serves easily with San Remo’s Traditional Egg Pasta nests.”
 
To further streamline the food preparation process, San Remo has developed a handy ‘simple serving solutions’ guide to accompany the Traditional Egg Pasta nests.
 
“San Remo’s ‘simple serving solutions’ guide helps to facilitate the quick preparation of meals,” he said.
 
“This takes the guess work out of entertaining and simplifies the cooking process.
 
“We recommend people use one nest for a side dish, two for a generous entree and three for a standard sized main course.”
 
San Remo Traditional Egg Pasta nests are available in three varieties; Fettuccine, Pappardelle and Tripolina.
 
Fettuccine and Tripolina are available at selected Coles Retailers while the rest of the range can be found within Independent (IGA) retailers around the country.
