For the pesto


  1. Prepare the Pesto: Put the pine nuts, garlic, basil leaves and Parmesan into a food processor, blend. With the motor running add the olive oil to make a soft paste, scaping the sides of the food processor as you go. Season to taste. Set aside.
  2. Cook the pasta according to the packet directions, drain.
  3. Stir the pesto through the cooked pasta.
  4. Place the pasta into serving bowls and sprinkle with toasted pine nuts and fresh basil leaves.
  5. Serve with freshly grated parmesan.
