1. Heat oil, butter and garlic in pan, add veal steaks and cook on both sides until tender. Remove from pan, slice thinly and keep warm. Reserve oil mixture in pan.
  2. Cook pasta according to packet directions and drain.
  3. Re-heat oil mixture in pan, add onion, cook while stirring until soft.
  4. Add stock cube and water, bring to boil and simmer uncovered, until reduced by half.
  5. Add cream, shallots and cheese, stir until cheese has melted.
  6. Serve steak on pasta topped with sauce.
