  1. Peel the larger broccoli stalks and cut into smaller pieces.
  2. Cook pasta as per packet directions.
  3. Heat the oil in a heavy frying pan. Add the chilli and the stalk pieces. Season with saltĀ  and stir-fry on a medium heat for 2 minutes.
  4. Add the florets and cook for a further 2 minutes then add the garlic and capers. Cook for a further minute.
  5. Once the pasta is cooked drain the pasta, toss with the broccoli mixture.
  6. Add black pepper and parmesan cheese to taste and serve immediately.
