For The Meatballs


  1. Cook Pasta according to the directions on the packet, drain well and set aside.
  2. Mix meatball ingredients together, roll into small balls and fry in oil until golden brown.
  3. Sautee the bacon with the chorizo in olive oil until it releases its fat. Add the onions, garlic, red and green capsicum and chilli and cook for another few minutes.
  4. Add the cumin seed then the peeled chopped tomatoes and water and bring to the boil.
  5. Add the kidney beans, pasta and meatballs and once they have had a chance to cook in the sauce for a while, pour them into a baking dish.
  6. Top with the parsley, oregano and thyme and finish with parmesan, asiago and breadcrumbs.
  7. Bake in the oven until golden and crispy on top at 180 degrees for approximately 20- 30 minutes.
