Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the beef mince, salt, pepper, dried oregano, onion powder, and garlic powder. Mix well until evenly combined.
  3. Spread a layer of Napoletana sauce over the base of a baking dish. Top with a layer of lasagna sheets.
  4. Sprinkle a portion of the raw mince mixture evenly over the pasta sheets, followed by more Napoletana sauce and a handful of grated cheese.
  5. Repeat the layers. Lasagna sheets, raw mince mixture, sauce, and cheese, until all ingredients are used, finishing with a final layer of sauce and cheese on top.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 35 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for a further 10 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbling and the pasta is tender.
  7. Rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Tips & Tricks

  • Ensure to spread a thin layer of Napoletana sauce over the base of your baking dish first, this prevents the pasta from sticking while it cooks.
  • If you wish to add vegetables, onion, celery and grated carrot are great options. Cook these off until soft, and add to the mince mixture.
