Method

  1. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Add gnocchi in batches and fry until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towel and season lightly with salt.
  2. For the marinara dip, heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds. Add tomatoes and chilli flakes, season, and simmer 10–12 minutes until slightly thickened. Stir in basil.
  3. Serve the crispy gnocchi in a bowl with the warm spicy marinara dip on the side, alongside an antipasto platter and bread or grissini.
