1. Cook pasta according to directions. Drain well.
  2. Heat oil in a medium saucepan
  3. Add tomatoes and water
  4. Bring to the boil then simmer for 15 minutes
  5. Add peas, then bring to the boil, cover and cook for 6 minutes (if the sauce is becoming too thick, add a small amount of water)
  6. Add cheese and basil
  7. Mix well
  8. Pour over pasta and garnish with freshly grated pecorino cheese
