1. Trim the broccoli so that they are small flowerette size.
  2. Cook pasta according to packet directions. About half way through the process add the broccoli flowerettes and continue cooking.
  3. Strain off three-quarters of the water, continue cooking and toss in the garlic and virgin oil.
  4. Stir and add the freshly ground pepper and half the cheese.
  5. Serve immediately topped with the rest of the grated parmesan cheese.
