Method

  1. Preheat oven to 200 C.

  2. Into a large pot of boiling salted water, add the pasta and cook as per packet directions.
  3. Pulse frozen bread in the food processor to create crumbs and season with the herbs or spices you have available or that your family likes – this recipe uses salt, pepper and chilli flakes.
  4. Melt butter or margarine in a saucepan, add flour and stir to combine.
  5. Gradually add milk and stock powder then whisk until combined. Allow to simmer for a few minutes to thicken, remove from heat.
  6. Stir through frozen spinach so that it is evenly distributed through sauce.
  7. Stir through pasta and frozen peas.
  8. Top with breadcrumb mixture and a drizzle of olive oil and bake for 25 minutes or until crumbs are golden.
  9. Serve and enjoy with family and friends!
