Basil Cream Sauce

Method

  1. Mix veal mince with parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, egg and basil until well combined.
  2. Shape 1 level tablespoon of veal mixture around a mozzarella cube, roll into a ball, toss lightly in flour. Repeat with remaining veal mixture and mozzarella cubes.
  3. Heat butter and oil in pan, add meatballs and cook until meatballs are well browned.
  4. Transfer meatballs to baking dish, cover and bake in moderate oven for 10 minutes. Basil Cream Sauce:
  5. Melt butter in pan, add onion and cook, stirring until soft.
  6. Blend in cream, basil, blended cornflour and water and stir until sauce boils and thickens.
  7. In large saucepan cook pasta according to packet directions, drain and serve topped with meatballs and sauce.
