1. Cook pasta as per packet directions.
  2. In a pan on medium heat, add oil and garlic. Cook for 2 minutes until garlic is just colouring.
  3. Next add tomatoes to the pan and crush with a wooden spoon.
  4. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring constantly.
  5. Add basil, stir through and turn off heat. Season sauce with salt & pepper.
  6. Strain pasta and add to sauce. Add half the parmesan to sauce & stir.
  7. Serve and sprinkle remaining parmesan over the top
